I dreamed of flying as a kid growing up in Arkadelphia, AR. I started lessons while in high school in 1974 and got my PVT license later the same year while a student at Henderson State Univ. I finished my B.S. degree at Henderson and got my first “paid” flying job in early 1981. Later the same year I started flying for a small commuter airline based in Camden, AR. Several years later, I was flying KingAirs, Merlins, Turbo Commanders and Barons for a company in Ft. Smith, AR. In 1985, Republic Airlines (Minneapolis, MN) hired me to fly the DC-9. Following an airline merger with Northwest in 1986 and Delta in 2009, I have spent nearly 3 decades flying most models and series of the DC-9, Airbus 319/320, Boeing 757, 767, 747. Throughout the years, I have continued to fly in General Aviation and always enjoy flying away from my day job. My wife Cindy is an Arkansas native and except for three years in Eagle River, AK, we have resided in Arkansas. We have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
